CRANE MEDIA INSTITUTE
Crane Media Institute (CMI) was established in 2007 as a private limited company, and started its operations on William Street in Kampala and later shifted to its current location in Wandegeya on former Makerere High School/ Cavendish University Building, which also accommodates Diamond Trust Bank, along Kampala-Bombo Road, one kilometer from Kampala City, the Capital City of Uganda.
CMI is promoted by Crane Media Group and has grown to be one of the largest media training institutions in Uganda and one of the most diversified media centres in the country.
CMI seeks to help enrich the talent pool in the field of media and communication in Uganda, East Africa and Africa. It is achieving this by organizing certificate, diploma and short term programmes for enhancing the skill base of existing professionals in the business and by creating and administering courses for students aspiring to join the media and communication industries in Uganda.
CMI also conducts programmes of training in Art, Music Dance and Drama and Computer-related disciplines and organizes workshops and inspirational talks.
CMI is committed to further expanding its operation by creating and delivering training programmes for existing professionals in the field of media and communication and will also launch programmes for students aspiring to join the high growth media and communication industry in Uganda, East Africa and Africa as awhole.

Today consumer communication offers more than 35 career options. Successful students of CMI will find opportunity of employment in any of these fields related to media, communication and marketing. Some of the obvious ones are listed here.
There three intakes: January intake, May Intake and September Intake.
For January Intake the registration begins on first of November and ends on fifteenth of December every year, for May intake registration begins on fifteenth ofMarch and ends on twenty fifth of April every year and September Intake, the registration begins on first of July and end on fifteenth of August every year.
